FIRE AGATE, A FIERY CRYSTAL OF PROTECTION

I found this beauty while visiting a local eccentric shop. I had gone to the store in hopes of finding a Crystal that called to me. Of course, there were many to go through while there. They had amethyst, quartz, calcite, amber a plenty! Whos its and what's its galore! But it was THIS little stone that had the vibes I was looking for.

I suppose I'll start of by explaining how I find the Crystal calling out to me. I know some witches and new agers focus on a feeling of warmth in their palm, but that's not exactly how I do it... For me, it's less a feeling of warmth and more a feeling of high level vibration... Kind of like, I can feel the buzzing of the very atoms of the Crystal calling out to me.

And this was the only Crystal that had that feeling today.

Coincidently (NOT! BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS COINCIDENCES!!!) I have been feeling a calling towards Dragons lately. So the fact that it was Fire Agate calling out to me just kind of made sense.

So, I purchased the Crystal (for $3, by the way, a total steal!) and headed home to do research on the little bugger than said "HEY! It's me! You need me!"

It turns out Fire Agate is a semi rare genre of Agate. It was created when hot water filled with silica and high levels of iron filled the cracks of surrounding stones, giving it the fiery look to it.

As it turns out, this stone is used for a number of things and holds many benefits.

Fire Agate is a stone of passion; sexuality, creativity, and protection.

This stone can be used to help push through creative blocks and is great for writers, artists, and the like.

It is also known to aid with sexual blocks like impotence and fear of sexual intimacy.

This all comes together when you learn that the PHYSICAL healing benefits of this stone include cardio health and blood circulation. When you focus on these aspects of the body, it makes sense that sexual health would also be effected- after all, you need good blood flow get aroused.

This stone is also closely connected with the Root Chakra. Again, I'm not surprised as the color for the Root Chakra is red and it focuses on grounding us, our sexual health, as well as our creativity.

Fire Agate is also a very strong protection stone. Imagine, if you will, a burning camp fire in the middle of the night in the forest. The camp fire will often keep the beasts of the wood at bay, as well as provide the protective warmth to survive cooler nights.

As I have been called to the Dragons lately, I find it interesting that such a stone called out to me today. Well, more like it SCREAMED at me!

Have you ever used Fire Agate in your practice? What are your thoughts on this semi precious stone?

PEACE, LOVE, AND TEA LEAVES- AN INTRODUCTION

Merry Meet, friends! Welcome to the Witches' Den! Or that's what I'm going to be calling this blog, at least. Join me as I learn about the ins and outs of holistic healing and spiritual welfare. I'll be sharing my journey as I study along the way. I'll be looking more in depth into herbs and teas, crystals and their healing properties, chakra balancing, and more.  I've been wanting to do a blog like this for a very long time, but have never really got to it for a number of reasons. With my oldest starting preschool next year and having more time on my hands than I'm currently used to, I figured why not make 2025 the year?  As stated in the above video, I'm not going to pretend to know everything on the topics I'm studying. The whole point of this blog (and Vlog on YouTube) is to share what I learn as I learn it. I'm hoping someone who is also studying these topics would like to read along, maybe join in, and we can study and learn together! So, i...

ROSEMARY FOR REMEMBRANCE

Rosemary is easily my go to herb when it comes to holistic health- it always has been.  I was introduced to this herb for its benefits on cognitive function and brain health. There are times when I find myself struggling with the occasional brain fog. In fact, after my first pregnancy loss, the brain fog was so bad I felt...unreal, as if I had stepped into an alternate reality and was watching my body live my life without being inside it. I guess, I would describe it as almost floating above my body. It was intense and frightening to say the least. I thought I was going insane! During that time, I was looking into many tinctures and teas to help with brain function. I was so over this feeling of brain fog (which I later learned was caused by a vitamin deficiency, but we'll talk about that some other time) and was desperate for a solution. I didn't have insurance at the time so talking to a doctor was out of the question. So I decided to do my own research on herbs that help wit...
